Inspiration: Hilde Canoodt at Tribal Café

I was there for this solo, and it was just beautiful. I love how the intricate isolation work appears to be so effortless, and how *slowly* she took it… a lot of people would be tempted to take the music and turn it into a frantic drum solo, but in this case, less is more. Also, her costume was droolworthy, and I am not ashamed to say that I kept quite a long while staring at it from every angle I could whenever I could.

Hilde will be doing a shimmy and layering workshop at the next Orient Expressions on April 14th, I am attending, and will post a review of it as soon as I can.
In the meantime, enjoy!

Indeed! I’m very excited about her workshop next weekend, I’ve had a couple of classes with Hilde when she was replacing Charlotte and I love her teaching style. The moment I am fully healed, and I can find a way to attend her classes that won’t mean 3+ hours travelling, I am SO going!
